Tell us about your child. There is no fee to enquire, and someone from the school will call you back.
Who can apply
- 25 seats per class. Our intake is 25 students each year, and each class stays at 25 — deliberately, so no child is a stranger to their teacher.
- Admission is open to children of the Donyi-Polo faith community.
- This is a fully residential Gurukul. Students live on campus through the term.
- Every applicant sits the New Admission Test, held each February ahead of the session that opens in May.
Who we give preference to
Seats are limited to 25 a year, so where we must choose, we choose in this order.
Children of Nyibu families
The knowledge this school exists to keep is carried by the Nyibu. Their children are given first preference.
Children from poor families
A family's means should never decide a child's education. Children from poor households are given preference.
- Preference is also given to children of Upper Subansiri district.

We call you back
A member of staff will telephone to answer your queries and arrange a visit if you would like one.
Sit the admission test
Bring your child to the school for the New Admission Test, held each February. It is how we assess every applicant fairly.
Confirm the seat
Submit the documents below, complete the formalities, and your child's place is confirmed.
Documents to bring
- Birth certificate of the child
- Transfer certificate from the previous school, if any
- Four passport-size photographs
- Aadhaar card of the child and of the parent or guardian
- ST certificate, if applicable
- Personal medicines for any specific health condition — enough for at least two months
What your child must bring
Every student admitted to the Gurukul brings these personal and daily-use items on joining. They cover basic hygiene, the daily routine, and taking part in lessons, sport and craft.
